McCluskey's moving on up in Knack Darts Premier League

Rob McCluskey moved up the Knack Darts Premier League after two solid victories.

McCluskey’s first win was against the returning John Allan, edging to a 5-3 victory.

McCluskey then saw off the challenge of David Brown with another 5-3 win.

Rob enjoyed a maximum, a 110 checkout for an 18-dart leg, which was followed up with a 15-darter.

Brown also hit a maximum, a 108 checkout and winning legs of 18 (twice) and 19 darts.

Richard Selby all but cemented his foot-hold on fourth place with two fine wins, beating Barry Rutherford (5-0) and Davey Thompson (5-1).

Selby enjoyed winning legs of 14, 16, 17 darts as well as a fantastic 12-dart leg which also saw him hit a maximum and a 126 finish.

Paul McGowan played three games and began with a 5-3 win over Chris Wood.

McGowan was sensational as he hit winning legs of 17 (three) and 18 (twice) darts, as well as a 180.

McGowan then lost 5-2 when he entertained Paul Williams. In his final game, McGowan was a 5-3 winner over Graeme Hills.

Graham Mullen threw away a 3-1 lead against Will Neave as the game ended in a 4-4 draw.

Mullen made sure he put the mistakes behind him in his second game when he beat Anth Skelton 5-0.

Skelton was then on the receiving end of a darting master class from league leader Dave Prins.

Prins rattled off five straight legs in only 78 darts, hitting a brace of 180s and winning legs of 13, 15, 16 (twice) and 18 darts.

Prins then faced off against Paul Williams, but the pair couldn’t be separated in a 4-4 draw.

Second placed Ryan Joyce didn’t drop a single leg in two thumping victories against Geordie Morton and John Allan.

Eddie Ashman was a comfortable 5-1 winner against Dougie Hall, but then suffered a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Andrew Ambler.

Ambler shared the spoils in his other game against Philly Dunn. Dunn then drew his other game against Dan Gillibrand.

Neil Mather was a comfortable 5-0 winner over Neil Richardson and a 5-2 victory over Barry Rutherford.

Dan Gillibrand was on the wrong end of a 5-1 thumping off David Brown in his other game.

Spiller Henderson was an easy 5-0 winner over Neil Richardson, but lost 5-3 against Chris Wood.

Alan Smith picked up two draws on the night with stalemates against Lee Walton and John Allan.

Walton was a 5-2 winner over Neil Richardson in his other game of the night, hitting his second 180 and best legs of 16 and 19 darts.

Geordie Morton and Matthew Hodgson shared the spoils in a 4-4 draw. Hodgson drew his other game against Graeme Hills.

Davey Thompson was a 5-1 winner over Will Neave in his second game of the night.

Dougie Hall and Chris Wood put on a brilliant display, but it was Wood who came away a 5-3 winner.
