DATES to follow up a city’s first evening market have been set after the debut event was hailed a success.
Durham City’s first late sale was held last month. More are to be held on the final Thursday of the month in September, October and November, from 3pm to 8pm.
Entertainment will also be provided.
Colin Wilkes, managing director of Durham Markets, said: “The aim of the evening market is to provide a natural link between the close of the daytime economy and the start of the night-time economy.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support in venturing into this new evening market and would encourage traders to come and join with us as we embark on this exciting new era for independent retail in Durham.”
