Man talked down from Sunderland bridge

A man threatening to jump from a bridge in Sunderland was brought back to safety by emergency services.

Firefighters from Sunderland and the Swift Rescue team from Fossway were called to the Wearmouth Bridge at 10.30pm, yesterday. 
A man was stood on the bridge threatening to jump.

Crews, including the Coastguard, were on standby for three hours while he was eventually talked down by a police negotiater.
