Man suffers face injury in Sunderland street robbery

A MAN suffered a wound to his face after he was robbed in the street.

The attack took place between Southend Road and Durham Road, in Sunderland.

The victim was approached by two offenders, who threatened him and then proceeded take the money he had on him.

Police said he was left with a scratch to his face as a result of the robbery.

The incident took place between 11.30pm and midnight on Monday.

The first attacker was about 5ft 8in tall, small build, in his late 20s with short dark hair.

He wore grey jogging bottoms and a grey jumper.

The second was about 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, in his 20s, with medium length hair and stubble. He wore a dark coloured T-shirt.
