A 60-year-old was sprayed in the face and punched repeatedly in a vicious attack by robbers on a moped:

The man was crossing the road in Burnaby Street yesterday when he was approached by a rider and pillion passenger.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, around 3pm, who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, to contact them.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, extension 69191, quoting log number 748 of 06/11/14 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
