Man seen "driving erratically" in Houghton

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was seen driving erratically in Houghton.

At around 11.30am on Wednesday March 23 police received a report of a blue Vauxhall Astra driving erratically on the A182 dual carriageway in Houghton.

Witnesses reported that the vehicle was being driven erratically as it headed towards Shiney Row.

Police have since seized the vehicle in question and enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the male driver.
