Man freed after Blackhall Colliery crash

A MAN had to be cut free from his car after it collided with a taxi in BlackHall Colliery this morning.

Firefighters from Peterlee freed the man from his Blue Rover car after the collision on the A 1086 coast road shortly after 10.30am.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics and St John’s ambulance staff before being taken to hospital.

The taxi driver, along with a woman and baby travelling in the Skoda Octavia taxi, were not seriously hurt.
