A MAN who suffered a serious head injury after falling in a Sunderland street has died.
The 54-year-old was found in the entrance to D’Arcy Court in Hendon Road, Hendon, just after 5.30pm on Monday, December 15.
The man had been dropped off there by a taxi and officers believe he may have sustained the injury after a fall in the street.
The incident is not believed to be suspicious.
He was taken to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary for treatment but died on Saturday, Northumbria Police have confirmed.
A report into his death is now being prepared for Newcastle Coroner’s Office.
