Man arrested after robbery in shopping street

The woman, was walking along Woods Terrace at about 12 o’clock on Friday when a man approached her from behind and grabbed the small, pink, zipped bag she was carrying before escaping.

The 31-year-old victim was left shaken but uninjured by the incident.

The bag contained a small amount of money and banks cards.

Police have now arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and in connection with a house burglary.
