Man arrested after attack on disabled girl in Sunderland

Skye Preston, who has Down's Syndrome, was pushed from behind and fell to the ground after an assault outside Sunderland Eye Infirmary, on Queen Alexandra Road, on Friday, December 9.

The seven-year-old was not injured but was left shaken by the attack.

Northumbria Police said a 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on bail pending enquiries.
