Man, 52, arrested in Sunderland on suspicion of attempting to meet an underage girl after grooming her
A man remains in police custody today after being arrested on suspicion of attempting to meet a girl under 16 following grooming.
The 52-year-old was arrested at Sunderland Station in the city centre late last night.
He remains in police custody this morning.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "Police have yesterday arrested a man on suspicion of attempting to meet a girl under 16 following grooming.
"The 52-year-old remains in custody."
