Mamma Mia cast make a splash at Sunderland hotel pool

The male dancers from Mamma Mia took a break from rehearsals for the show, which is currently running at Sunderland Empire, to take a dip in the pool at Marriott Seaburn.

Phillip Ryan, Louis Stockil, Morgan Jackson, Chris Durtnal, Rory Maguire, Brad Veitch, Kyle Wardlaw and Jamie Wilkin, who play groom-to-be Sky and his group of friends, made a splash by donning their wetsuits from the one of the show’s musical numbers.

The hit musical is half way through a month-long run at the Empire and is Judy Craymer’s vision of staging the story-telling magic of ABBA’s songs with a tale of family and friendship

To date, it has been seen by more than 60 million people in 50 productions in 16 different languages and spawned the hit movie starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, with a sequel currently being filmed
