To the envy of their millions of social media followers, Elisa Fromson gets to rub shoulders with the Kardashian clan every day as personal assistant to matriarch Kris Jenner.

The 27-year-old, from South Hylton, moved to LA five years ago to chase her dreams of studying fashion and marketing and is now personal assistant to one of the most powerful women in Hollywood.

Kris shot to fame on hit reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians and is the self-proclaimed ‘momager’ to her children Kim, who is married to rapper Kanye West, as well as her siblings Kourtney, Khloe, Robert, Kendall and Kylie whose fame spans the globe.

After joining Jenner Communications as an intern, Elisa is now based at the Jenner house in Calabasas, which features regularly in their reality TV show, as Kris’s personal assistant.

Former Sunderland High School pupil Elisa, who went on to study at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in LA, said: “I’d been interning at Jenner Communications for six months and Kris’ personal assistant was leaving. She said ‘hey, how about on Tuesday you come and work from the house with me,’ and it went from there. It all fell together perfectly.”

Though Elisa has to remain tight-lipped about any private matters, she says her role is to help the smooth running of the household, which often forms the base for the family’s various business ventures.

She said: “Kris has a full time assistant, then me, and a part-time assistant based at the house. Life is very fast-paced for Kris and we help her out with all sorts of things, whether that be going shopping with her, to making sure things are set up when people come to the house. There’s always a lot going on.”

Elisa, whose grandparents and relatives still live in Wearside, says it’s easy to forget she works for a woman at the helm of a family who dominate the news headlines daily.

“I don’t think about it to be honest, I think if I did it would really get in my head. I was talking to my friend from the UK the other day who is Nicole Scherzinger’s manager and we said how it seems not real to other people, when, to us, it’s just our daily life.”

As well as being her boss, Kris has supported Elisa with her own business venture and attended a launch party she held to market herself as a make-up artist under her London Fromson brand.

“Kris has such a packed schedule and is always in demand so it was amazing that she was able to come to the launch,” said Elisa. “What she’s achieved is amazing and she’s very inspirational. I didn’t want her being bothered, but she did interviews at my launch night and was happy to be filmed, she was very supportive.”

Also at the launch party were fellow Mackems Tony and Sarah Jeffries, with whom Elisa has forged a friendship.

Speaking about the Olympic boxer, who now runs a successful gym in LA, Elisa said: “I met Tony and Sarah two or three years ago when I was feeling particularly home-sick. They really helped me and it was amazing to meet someone from back home, to be able to talk about places they recognise.

“When I first arrived in LA five years I’d never been before, but I just fell in love with it. There are just so many opportunities that come your way over here. It’s insane to think what I’m doing now compared to what I’d be doing if I was at home.”
