This is the emotional moment a Sunderland dad has it it confirmed that he had scooped £1m on National Lottery scratchcard.
Kenny Ashton, 33, called the lottery claim line after revealing the life-changing amount on a card he bought from Sainsbury's in the Team Valley, Gateshead.
The dad hit the £1m jackpot back in May - just days before his wife Gillian was due to give birth with the couple's first son- but the call has now been released.
In the call, he tells a Camelot operator: "I don't know how to say this.
"I've just bought a scratchcard and it seems I've won a £1m!
"I can't believe what i'm looking at right now."
The call handler asks Kenny if he's sitting down before breaking the amazing news to him that he is now a millionaire.
The operator says: "It's one million pounds!
"Congratulations! I can just see all those zeros on my screen."
In the touching conversation, Kenny tells the operator how the money means all the world to him after being down on his luck for so long.
The operator tells him: "Your luck has finally come in."
At the time of his win Kenny, who also has a three-year-old daughter with Gillian and three children with a previous partner, went out and made his first purchase - a seven-seater Ford Galaxy for his expanding family - and a new car for his wife.
