LATEST NEWS: Second man dies after crash

A SECOND man has died after the crash which killed Jay McCormick.

Police have announced Jonathon Cruddas-Ginks, 23, from Washington, died in hospital over the weekend. He had been in a critical condition since the accident on Sunday September 9.

Jay, 19, of Pinewood Avenue, Washington was fatally injured in the accident when the Suzuki Swift he was travelling in ploughed into three parked cars in the residential Ashdale, Mount Pleasant, Washington.

Two other men aged 34 and 25 who were also travelling in the vehicle were arrested but following inquiries have been released and will face no further action.

Inquiries are ongoing into how crash happened and anyone with information is asked to contact the force’s road safety unit on 101 ext 69191.
