Last chance to have say on new Durham council

Have your say

THERE are a few days left for a community to have its say on plans for a new tier of local government.

Consultation on the creation of a parish council in Durham City ends on May 31.

Durham County Council is looking at options for future governance following requests from residents.

Council leader Simon Henig said: “This is an extremely important review of the way in which a range of services in Durham City will be managed in the future.

“I would strongly urge residents and all other interested parties to take part and put forward their views before the consultation ends at the close of May.”
