Lack of trust in Labour

Mr Quinn again shows he is far removed from the reality on Labour's disastrous economic record. This time in his response to Peter O'Connor's letter (November 7).

When Labour was dumped by the electorate in 2010 they handed over a busted economy.

They then went on to lose again in 2015. Why? In the main the electorate did not trust them on the economy.

Labour’s outgoing Chief Secretary to the Treasury Liam Byrne left a note in 2010 saying ‘Dear chief secretary, I’m afraid to tell you there’s no money left.’

Mr Quinn has tried in the past to dismiss this as a joke. However, we are all too aware it was very true.

Not for the first time Mr Quinn is out of step with the general public. Currently some 44% trust the Conservatives on the economy against only 16% trusting Labour.
