Kids help to plant seeds

Have your say

NURSERY children will plant trees and be given a lesson in looking after the environment.

Houghton Community Nursery School will have a visit from UK fire and fireplace manufacturers, Be Modern, on September 20, who are throwing their weight behind National FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Friday.

FSC Friday is a celebration of responsible forestry, organised by the Forest Stewardship Council, and will take place on September 28.

A variety of trees will be planted on the nursery school grounds and there will be activities for the children to get involved in.

The event starts at 10am and family and friends are welcome.
