Junior cricket: Dazzler Dass helps Durham U17s to victory at the double
Durham posted 174-1 in the first match, batting first, Jamie Dass leading the way with an unbeaten 62, retiring after hitting 10 fours and a six, backed by 41 from Josh O’Brien in 29 balls.
Liam Burgess (27) and Marcus Brown (16) offered decent support.

Hide AdIn response, NYSD wickets fell regularly, with Burgess striking twice and the other bowlers each taking a wicket to seal an 80-run win.
In the second game, the NYSD elected to bat and made 111-7, Finlay Morris top-scoring with 34.
Dass, Burgess and Jack Rowley all picked up two wickets.
Durham needed just 17.3 overs to chase the total down by six wickets, with skipper Tom Hewison (45) backed by Jake Louth (25) and Burgess (19).
