Hide AdO'Shea did superbly to head away a wicked Kevin De Bruyne cross in the first half. The ball only dropped as far as Eden Hazard inside the penalty area, but the Chelsea star blasted high and wide when he should have done better.
That was the best chance of the opening period but within three minutes of the restart, Belgium were level. They counter-attacked through De Bruyne and when he rolled the ball into Lukaku's path, O'Shea was unable to block the shot as it nestled into the bottom corner.
Alex Witsel then headed a second before Lukaku rounded off the win, with Ireland again caught on the break.
