“It was lovely to have Sir Roger Moore dining with us here at The Three Horseshoes early this week.

“A good time had by all!”

Three Horse Shoes owner Darryl Frankland said: “He was just a fantastic bloke.

“He was here with his wife and a couple of the people who drive for him and he couldn’t have been more accommodating.

“He satisfied everybody’s requests whether to pose for pictures or give his autograph.

“He was an absolute gentleman.”

As well as starring as Ian Fleming’s suave spy in classic movies such as Live and Let Die, the Spy Who Love Me and Octupussy, Sir Roger also appeared in TV series The Saint and The Persuaders.
