It' time to protest

Hats off to David Render. We would all like to dump rubbish at the Civic Centre to protest at the state of Sunderland and Washington.

I can imagine people dumping paving slabs in a protest about all the broken and rocking ones in the town centre or dumping toilet paper (one-ply, of course) in protect over the public toilets (non-existent at the railway station and others constantly locked). We could dump a pile of rust in protest against all the rusty bins that are unfit for purpose.

We are sick and tired of the council, and people at the call centre, blaming Government cuts. The residents all know that the local cuts are down to golden handshakes, excessive councillors’ expenses and inept management, ie council tax money being spent on vanity projects, the council not getting value for money.

Perhaps what we should have is a proper protest.
