AN inquest into the death of a teenager who died after getting into difficulty in the River Wear is set to resume tomorrow.
Seventeen-year-old Jordan Roberts, from Downhill, was found dead near Finchale Abbey on September 9 last year.
A major search operation took place after Jordan disappeared beneath the surface of the River Wear, while swimming with two brothers and a family friend on September 8.
His brother Callum, 19, was also dragged under the water, before being rescued and given CPR on the riverside.
An inquest was initially opened last year, but adjourned for the preparation of documents. It is due to resume tomorrow at the coroner’s office at Crook Civic Centre.
