India is now a rich nation

Like everyone in Britain I am concerned about our steel industry.

India is walking away from our steel plants all over Britain putting thousands of people at risk. Yet, we give India millions of pounds every year in overseas aid.

Can we not look into this aid and reconsider our promise of years ago to give a percentage of our GDP to overseas aid?

Firstly, India doesn’t need this aid as it is a rich nation, so why do the British taxpayer have to hand over billions in overseas aid when we the people of Britain have our own problems. Cutbacks are a daily problem for all of us in Britain. Stop this aid until we can afford it.
