Image of woman released following assault in Sunderland city centre pub

Detectives have released an image of a woman following an assault.

It comes following an incident on February 29 when a member of bar staff was assaulted in the William Jameson Pub, in Fawcett Street, in Sunderland city centre.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

Officers are keen to identify the woman pictured as it's thought she was in the pub at the time and may be able to help police with their enquiries.

The image is not good quality but the woman pictured is thought to have short dark hair in a bob and was wearing a black leather jacket with a black and white striped top underneath and black trousers.

It's thought she is aged in her 50s and around 5ft 2in.

The woman, or anyone who recognises her, is asked to get in contact with Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference 823 290216.
