Hunt to find scruffy-looking robber who targeted Sunderland store

The hunt is on to find a robber described as "scruffy-looking" who tried to steal cash from a Sunderland store.

Officers were called to the Nisa store on Toronto Road in Thorney Close around 12.15pm on November 22.

The offender had gone into the store and threatened a shop-worker with a knife.

The worker was not injured and nothing was stolen.

He is described as white, thin, of scruffy appearance, around 20-20 years old and wearing a dark grey jacket.
