Hooded thugs attacked cars in Peterlee

POLICE are hunting hooded thugs who damaged cars in a late-night attack.

The incident happened in Langley Grove, Peterlee, when two men poured a “corrosive substance” over two vehicles, causing damage to paint work.

One of the men is described as being “heavy and round” in build.

He was wearing a dark-coloured jacket with two lighter- coloured horizontal stripes across the body.

He was also wearing a shirt or T-shirt, which featured a large logo, design or writing on it, and had a hood or mask over his head.

The second man is thin and wore a dark grey or blue hooded jacket and dark trousers or jogging bottoms.

He was also wearing white trainers.

The attack happened at about 12.15am on Sunday, January 15. Officers from Durham Constabulary are appealing for witnesses.
