A RANGE of sporting events is being held to keep kids active during the holidays.

Football, netball, basketball, table tennis and judo are among a host of activities being offered until Friday, April 11, by Wearside charity, the Foundation of Light.

There will be soccer courses, including two for girls, in Sunderland, Washington and County Durham, and Little Dribblers sessions, for youngsters, aged three to five, daily at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light.

For those with a physical or learning disability, the charity is offering a two-day multisport course for ages five and above, incorporating a range of small-sided games designed to encourage teamwork and improve communication and confidence.

Non-football activities for those aged 11 and above are being held at Sunderland High School’s Junior School, in Ashbrooke Road.

All of the sessions are led by professionally qualified SAFC coaches, with prices starting from £10 for ages five and over, and from £3 for Little Dribblers.

Places must be booked in advance.
