Hole opens up on South Shields road
A hole has opened up on a South Shields road overnight.
The hole appeared on the carriageway on Coston Drive, near Morrisons supermarket, close to the junction with Ocean Road and Anderson Street.
South Tyneside Council says it is investgating how the hole was formed.
