MUSICAL maestros are teaming up for a Christmas spectacular.

English National Opera star Graeme Danby (pictured) has teamed up with Monkwearmouth Salvation Army Band and the Sunderland University Choir to perform a festive concert.

North East favourite Graeme will entertain with a mixture of traditional and Christmas songs at the concert at the Salvation Army’s Roker Avenue premises at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 12.

The award-winning Monkwearmouth Salvation Army Band will play many favourite Christmas carols and the choir promise to perform a wonderful programme.

All the proceeds will go to Age UK Sunderland to enable them to continue their work for older people across the whole of the city.

Alan Patchett, director of Age UK Sunderland, said: “This will be a great night out and I would encourage as many people as possible to come along and join in the fun.”

Tickets are £10 (£7 for concessions) and are available from Age UK Sunderland’s Bradbury Centre or the Salvation Army in Roker Avenue or by telephoning Maxine on 514 1131.
