Eppleton Cricket club opened the Ken Ferguson Pavilion on Friday evening in memory of a past member of the club who was a key member, player and volunteer. The new pavilion which was built during the winter was officially opened by the Mayor of Hetton, who opened the pavilion along with Ken’s Granddaughter Marie Therese. The event was well supported despite the wet weather. Eppleton CC Chairman Jeff Park said: “Ken was a passionate, dedicated and hard working member of Eppleton CC, who was well known around the league over the years, especially within in the Durham Senior league. Ken was always at the ground and even helped with ground work when he retired.”
