Here's to the Sunderland Echo readers for getting right behind the Tall Ships beer-naming contest

Lots of you are loving the contest and one said The Tall Ships Races will be good for Sunderland - adding: “it’ll be great to see the port as busy as days gone by.”
But we are not done yet in our search for names and you still have time to get your own suggestions in to us.
All we need you to do is suggest something which fits in perfectly with the Tall Ships theme. It should also highlight Sunderland’s links to it.

One lucky person will receive a tour of Maxim Brewery and may even get to help out in the brewing of the Tall Ships beer.
The timetable for the competition is as follows:
From now until October 13 – Both Sunderland Echo and Sun FM will hold a joint competition for a Tall Ships cask beer name.
October 16 – The best entries will be chosen and the top ten will go forward to a public vote.

But first, we need those entries before we can get round to the voting stage.
