CHARITY bosses are holding an event to help people plan their funeral.
Age UK Sunderland is holding two sessions later this month. The first will take place at Washington Mind, The Life House, Grasmere Terrace, Columbia, Washington on Monday, October 28, at 10am until noon.
The second will be at its Age UK Sunderland office, in Bradbury Centre, Stockton Road, on Tuesday, October 29 at 2pm until 4pm.
The events will give people the chance to talk to an experienced member of the team and to hear how the plans can remove some of the worry and stress around organising a funeral.
Age UK’s funeral plans allow people to fix the cost of their cremation funeral at today’s prices and remove the worry about future price increases and rising inflation.
They are designed specifically for those in later life and offer flexible plans and payment methods to suit different requirements.
Alan Patchett, director of Age UK Sunderland, said: “The rise in living costs and low interest on savings make planning ahead more important now than ever before.
“Taking out a Funeral Plan makes financial sense, as you’re effectively paying for your funeral at today’s prices.”
