Help for carers of dementia sufferers

Have your say

SUNDERLAND Carers’ Centre is to offer training sessions for the first time to carers who look after someone with dementia.

There will be five free sessions. They start from Monday, February 27.

The final session will be aimed at extended family and friends who may not be the main person providing care, but still be involved in supporting the person with dementia.

All sessions will take place at The Place, in Athenaeum Street, from 11am to 2pm. Funds for travel and alternative care are available for those who need it.

To book a place on the course contact Sunderland Carers’ Centre on 567 3232.
