Help with allowances

Just before Christmas the media reported that the Government was thinking of making Attendance Allowance for over-65s the responsibility of local councils.

At present Attendance Allowance is paid to 1.5 million people over 65 and is not means tested. Recipients do not have to spend the Allowance on personal care. The idea has raised fears that the benefit could be restricted or capped.

If you have ever wondered if you could be entitled to the allowance now is the time to find out and make a claim otherwise it could be too late!
