Sunderland's National Glass Centre is closed to the public due to problems with its heating system.
The centre will be closed until further notice, with a part for the boiler system on order from Italy.
But managers have promised to press ahead with scheduled half-term craft sessions, using heaters to warm individual rooms.
A statement on the centre website says: "Unfortunately, due to a problem with our heating system we are closed until further notice.
"However half-term activities will go ahead as normal. Participants can check in at the Visitor Services desk.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
