NEW mental health nurses are needed to carry out vital work on Wearside.
Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (NTW) is recruiting for a range of qualified nursing posts.
The trust employs more than 6,000 staff across Northumberland, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
Community psychiatric nurse and care co-ordinator Stacey Rodgers is a member of the Intensive Community Treatment Service, part of the Children and Young People’s Service for Sunderland and South Tyneside.
She said: “Working with children and young people is challenging but can also be exceptionally rewarding, fun and interesting.
“If you can engage with young people in a meaningful and therapeutic way, providing a quality care experience at the earliest opportunity, then you can have a truly positive impact on a young person’s life.”
Posts are available in a number of areas including children and young people services, neurological services, autism and eating disorders.
