WEARSIDE’S Apprentice contestant is set to star in her own television show.
Award-winning entrepreneur Katie Bulmer-Cooke’s new fitness show will start on Monday on new channel, Made in Tyne and Wear.
The Ashbrooke mum-of-one confirmed national newspaper reports that her agent is in talks with ITV show This Morning and Lorraine, about her hosting a regular fitness slot, but at the moment nothing is confirmed.
However, her own show, Total Tone Up, will be aired for the first time on Monday, January 5, at 7.30pm.
Katie, who made it through to week 10 of the BBC hit show, The Apprentice, said she hopes people will enjoy and be inspired by the new show.
She said: “I am really excited about this show.
“I have watched lots of exercise and weight loss shows over the years, and although some are very good, this one is really down to earth.”
Katie, who scooped the New Business of the Year trophy at the Sunderland Echo Portfolio Business Awards two years ago, for her online personal fitness and training business The Little Black Dress Club, said the show follows the progress of five people in their bid to get fit.
They will include a new mum and a couple who are hoping to shed the pounds for their wedding.
The 29-year-old, who has her own internationally-successful business, was named UK Fitness Professional of the Year 2013 and was picked as High Street giant Argos’ resident health and fitness expert, says she is looking forward to more exciting times ahead.
She said: “I was a bit sad to see the end of 2014 because it was such a good year, but I’m excited about what will happen in 2015.”
Viewers can watch Total Tone Up on Freeview 8, Sky 117 or Virgin 159.
