Former Sunderland star Micky Gray is undergoing another hair transplant live on camera – this time using social media app Periscope.
The ex-England footballer, who is now a pundit for TalkSport, became the first in the UK to have the surgery streamed on the internet in 2012.
Now he’s back again on camera in an effort to provide more information about the procedure.
The transplant is being performed by Dr Bessam Farjo, an authority on hair loss and hair transplant surgery for men, who he says can suffer from a severe loss of self-esteem.
The transplant will involve taking thousands of hairs from the back and sides of his head and “re-planting” them into his receding hairline.
The surgeon, who has been carrying out hair transplants for 20 years, said the procedure is “similar to gardening” and involves “removing bulbs of hair from one part of the scalp to another”.
