Greg Clark should resign if GKN sale is allowed to go ahead

The pending sale of one of Britain's important defence manufacturing companies, GKN, which plays a key role in the defence of our country, should be stopped by the Business Secretary as being detrimental to the future of our defence industries.

GKN, if the deal goes through will be an irreplaceable loss of our skilled workforce, research and development programmes at this crucial time of Brexit negotiations.

The only people who will profit by this are the bankers and senior executives, together with the spin doctors, whom it is said will rake in £250million.

Those working for Melrose, the bounty hunters, could in total pick up over £650million!

Business Secretary Greg Clark should be persuaded to stand down from his position if he continues to defend his decision not to interfere with the Melrose bid.

GKN’s role in this country and abroad should be protected by law as being essentially conducive to the safety of the UK.
