Going green for cancer charity cash

Have your say

SHOPPERS are being asked to go fund-raising crazy for a cancer charity.

Staff at Bomarche in Sunderland will ditch their uniforms next month to go green.

The event on Monday, August 6, aims to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Workers will swap their uniforms for green wigs and clothes and collecting donations.

Some will be going the extra green mile, leaving their house without the car and walking to work.

The fashion retailer has been supporting Macmillan for 13 years and has raised more than £2.5million nationwide.

Employees in 268 stores across the country are hoping to raise more vital funds.

The event in Sunderland takes place in the Market Square store between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
