Last week, it was announced that House of Gin would stage an event dedicated to the trendy tipple at National Glass Centre on August 19.

Just days after the event, the first of its kind in the city, went on sale tickets sold out.

To meet demand, organisers will stage a second night on August 20.

House of Gin have teamed up with UniSpace, the conference and events arm of the University of Sunderland, and Fentimans Tonic for the event.

Mal Robinson, UniSpace commercial manager, said: “House of Gin and UniSpace are thrilled with the interest and looking forward to a second night in Sunderland.”

Another 200 tickets have been released for the second night, which will feature 18 specially-selected gins including Elephant, Brockmans, Sir Robin of Locksley and more.

Tokens can be bought on the night for £5.50 a drink or £20 for four.
