A BAND is tuning up to deliver a concert in aid of two good causes.

Seaham Museum Academy will perform at Dawdon Miners’ Welfare Social Club to raise cash for Seaham Physically Disabled and Able Bodied group and Seaham Physically Disabled Club.

The gig will be held on Saturday, May 19, with doors to open at 7pm.

The admission price includes a pie and pea supper, with a raffle, tombola and a handmade jewellery stall to also run on the night.

Tickets are £5 and are available from Sue Mole on 581 5040, and from Dawdon Youth and Community Centre.

The music academy was recently awarded a £5,000 grant from the Coalfield Regeneration Trust to help it cover the cost of sessional musicians to lead its classes.

It meets at Seaview School on Saturday mornings, with anyone interested in joining invited to call in.
