WHEN people start talking about “building” a cake rather than “making” it, you know you are dealing with one big dessert.

Shiney Row’s Advice and Resource Project (Sharp) marked the arrival of the Olympic torch relay at the weekend in unique style, by constructing this mammoth 6ft x 2ft cake.

Complete with local landmarks and Olympic events, the cake is the result of hard work by community groups and Sharp’s project manager Emma Frew paid tribute to them all.

She said: “We’ve had a really great week. This is a proper community cake. They’ve had great fun putting it all together.”
