Getting in the swim for charities

Have your say

A ROTARY club is planning a mega charity swimathon to raise funds for a Down’s Syndrome charity.

Durham Rotary Club will hold its swimathon at Freeman’s Quay Leisure Centre, in Durham, on November 24 and 25.

Teams of all ages are invited to enter, with four to five swimmers in each team.

The teams have 30 minutes to swim as many lengths as possible.

All money raised will go to Down’s Syndrome North East, the Treetop’s children’s ward at the University Hospital of North Durham and the chosen charities of Mayor of Durham, Councillor John Wilkinson, the Heel and Toe Children’s charity, which provides therapy for children with movement conditions, and Blind Life in Durham.
