Children’s television presenter and wildlife expert Michaela Strachan will be visiting the region to help youngsters discover the animal kingdom.
The broadcaster, who has helped front BBC’s Springwatch, will be at Adventure Valley, on the outskirts of Durham, on Tuesday, August 4.
The Michaela Strachan’s Really Wild Adventures Show is based on her adventures travelling the world filming animals and conservation projects.
In the 30-minute show, which is aimed at three to 10-year-olds as well as their parents and grandparents, Michaela will take guests on a journey of sharks, snakes, elephants and polar bears using rhyme, music and audience interaction.
She will be performing two shows in the attraction’s Showtime Theatre at 10.30am and at noon and each show will be followed by a book signing.
Books to accompany the show can be bought with tickets online and will be available to collect on the day.
There are 100 tickets available for each show.
Tickets, including admission to Adventure Valley, cost £12 per person adult or child, and normal admission is £9.50, children under two years old sitting on a parent’s lap free of charge.
Adventure Valley Season Pass holders can book tickets for Michaela Strachan’s Really Wild Adventures show for £2.50 per person.

The park, in Brasside, is also putting on other shows during the summer, featuring circus skills, comedy performances and minibeasts, as well as opportunities to meet animals and learn about them.
