YOUNGSTERS can get creative this Easter at a series of free sessions taking place in Sunderland.

Over the Easter holidays, libraries across Wearside are hosting free Easter-themed craft sessions.

On Saturday, March 31, the City Library and Arts Centre is hosting a Dads ‘n’ Kids club, between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Fathers and their children can join in the fun and decorate an Easter and spring story sack to take home with them.

The free club is held monthly for children aged two to 11 and their dads or carers. Mums are also welcome.

The next session to test out youngsters creative skills takes place at Silksworth Library on Tuesday, April 3, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.

Doxford Park Library will host a session on Wednesday, April 4, between 10.30am and noon.

On Friday, April 13, Southwick Library will host a session from 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

The City Library and Arts Centres is also inviting youngsters to come and create Easter foam bookmarks and giant honeycomb Easter characters.

The sessions take place from April 2 to 4, between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
