Fun days for charity

Have your say

A CHARITY has come up with a speedy way to boost its funds as it adds to its calendar of events.

Heel and Toe, which is based in Finchale Road, Durham, is launching its first Go Kart Challenge, a Le Mans-style competition.

It is searching for teams of four, who will pay £40 per person to take part, with the event to be staged on Friday, December 13, in Gateshead.

The winners will lift the Heel and Toe Trophy.

The next event it will host will be the third fire and glass walk, which will take place at its centre in Framwellgate Moor, on Saturday, November 2, from 3pm onwards.

A minimum of £125 sponsorship is required for one event or minimum £175 sponsorship for walks.

The money raised through the go karting challenge and daredevil walks will go to help the charity, which helps children with cerebral palsy and dyspraxia.

Anyone interested in taking part in either fund-raiser can email or call 386 8606.
