The Senior Citizens Christmas party held at the Mill View Club was well attended and much enjoyed by the local people and guests, the Mayor & Mayoress Councillor Barry and Mrs Carol Curan. A mince cobbler with mashed potatoes and peas was served with a sweet mince pie to follow also a glass of sherry. Thanks go to Mill View Club for the venue, entertainment by Happy Daze Band, organised by Fulwell Councillors Margaret Beck, Bob Francis and George Howe and Fulwell Community Association, which applied to Community Chest for funding. Fulwell Neighbourhood Watch who collected prizes for a free raffle supplied by Sea Road area traders, a very good joint effort, thanks to all.
An exhibition of Railway photographs, taken by the late Ian S Carrk, is on display at Monkwearmouth Station Museum. To complement this exhibition, Neil Sinclair will give a talk “Ian S Carr – A Wearside Railway Photographer” at Sunderland Museum on Saturday, January 9, at 2pm for Fosums members. Visitors are welcome, pay £1.
Holy Communion on Christmas Day at All Saints’ Church will be held at 10am. All are welcome.
