FORMER Bonny Baby champ Freya Stevenson is celebrating glory again.
The camera-friendly youngster, three, of Hylton Lane Estate, has just won the title of Grand Supreme in the Beautiful Princess UK Pageant – and she’ll be on Wearside looking to add to her awards haul this summer.
After Freya won the Echo’s competition in 2009, friends and family were keen to enter her into other pageants.
When her mum Vicki stumbled upon the Beautiful Princesses UK pageant online she decided to enter Freya into the competition.
The tournament is held live and prides itself on contestants winning prizes under the heading of natural beauty.
Freya took the Most Beautiful and Best Hair gongs before being crowned Grand Supreme.
Along with her title, Freya was awarded with a crown and a trophy.
Jorja Gudge, a former beauty queen and now pageant organiser, has described Freya as having “excellent potential” and encouraged her to enter into the Beautiful Princesses and Prince Charming UK event later this year.
Vicki, 35, who is also mum to Georgia, 17, said: “She’s taking part in a pageant at the Quayside Exchange in June.
“When she entered in 2009 we never imagine that she would win.
“We were just ecstatic when we found out she’d done it.”
Freya, who goes to Barnes Nursery, now has a modelling contract with a Newcastle-based agency and is keen to continue working the camera as she grows up.
“She loves getting dressed up and having her tiaras on,” added Vicki.
“So that’s another reason why we’ve entered her into this pageant, because she enjoys it so much.”
Freya is being backed by Sunderland businessman Kishor Doshi who is set to help her with entrance fees and costumes for the competition.
